Haus of Slut started with one really bad party, one really slutty playlist, and one crazy dream. During Splash 2022—Austin’s iconic boat-hopping weekend—best friends Austin Foxtail and Alon Musk found themselves at a party that was, frankly, a buzzkill. The LGBTQ+ community had been flocking to Hippie Hollow for years, but there was no real space that truly brought everyone together. So, they made one.
By Memorial Day Weekend 2023, they threw their first afterparty with one goal: give the gays the unforgettable experience they deserved. The response? Pure chromatic energy. Three months later, they went bigger, launching a full-fledged four day festival to celebrate Austin’s queer scene in all its chaotic, glitter-drenched glory.
At its core, Haus of Slut is built on friendship, audacity, and a flair for the dramatic. Austin and Alon bring their own brand of chaos—one part creative vision, one part meticulous planning, all wrapped in a sparkly middle finger to the ordinary. From wild boat parties to legendary festival nights, they’re putting Austin on the queer map, creating spaces where everyone can feel free, fabulous, and just the right amount of unhinged.
